Had to work late tonight to get something done for a client. I did ask them if they wanted it last year as it was an obvious thing, but they said no, just do the minimum work. It failed exactly as I expected and now we have to do the work for them, but we have to pay for it not them to keep them happy. The work was interesting enough, but I would have prefered it to have been in the original estimate and then done last year when I had loads of time and then paid for!
