thoughtful girl in an old cemetery..

It stopped snowing, and even seemed a bit less cold. We set off for a further look around the area.

It turns out that the girl has, all unknowing, planted herself in the very same area which was the home and stamping ground of my Mum and Dad and their respective families a long time ago. So around the corner is the church where my Dad was a choirboy and, years later, where my brother and sister were christened. Up the street is the Town Hall where my parents, separately and then together, went to dances, and there too, unchanged, is the Town Hall doorway where their wedding photos were taken, more than sixty years ago.

Finding this very old cemetery then felt very personal and we felt sure that some of our ancestors must be here somewhere hidden among the overgrowth of ivy.
