Friends

Friends arrived from Yorkshire as we are celebrating another friend’s 60th birthday this weekend. Other friends from London & Harpenden also here, staying with other friends ... always great when we get together. Known each other for almost 30 years.

The birthday boy invited us all round for dinner but, first, I had to go to the Queens Hall to see the 1922 silent movie ‘Rob Roy’ where my grandad was an extra (previous blip).

It was great! Unintentionally funny in places and the false eyebrows were a hoot. David Allison provided the atmospheric score - a combination of previously recorded music and live guitar & keyboards.

I then joined the party and had the joy of driving our merry houseguests home!
