Desperately seeking

Storm Dennis

I'd hoped for some calm after the storm but the wind is still howling outside tonight.Last night the water rose until our house was surrounded. The Man decided to go into the neighbour's garden and rake the grid on the culvert. It's now too difficult for us to reach from our garden. That sorted it. The water level dropped.

This morning I had a drive to see what the rest of the area was like. The water level was nowhere near as high as it had been last weekend but the Eamont was flowing fast and Brougham Castle was looking horrified. As we all should be about what is happening to our world.

On a brighter note, thank you, all of you who viewed, commented, rated or starred yesterday's 4,000 blip. I've tried to get round most of you but I was tempted out again this afternoon. The cake and coffee at Brougham Hall was very good!
