Painting!

First coat all done in the schoolroom. Mum did the undercoat on the windowsill this afternoon. Tomorrow will probably be second coat of magnolia, or the blue for the (currently brown) end wall.

This morning I finished writing a letter to a friend of mine, and did various other things before me and Mum left to go to a homeschool meeting. There is a big group of Christian homeschoolers in Southeast Scotland who organise meetings that are a bit like school trips. This time, though, we just met together in a church hall and played team games and board games. I won a game of chess and then did a bit of cross stitch which someone had brought as a craft. It was lovely to see all the other people - lots of our friends were there.

Then home, dog walk in the wind and slight sleet, now Caribbean style jerk chicken, cooked by my dad. It smells good - it's nearly ready! Dog is looking sad, because we have almost run out of dog food! Never mind, the new bag is coming tomorrow. She can have some rice or something if there aren't enough biscuits.

Scottish country dancing class tonight - last one was cancelled because of the snow, so it'll be good to be there again.
