Snowdrops at the glebe

Spring wouldn't be complete without a host of snowdrops.

This is a picturesque corner of the Foveran Parish Church glebe. I imagine that the drifts of snowdrops will have been there for a century or more.

A glebe is a piece of land serving as part of a clergyman's benefice and providing income. The term comes from the  Latin gleba, glaeba  meaning clod, land or soil.
