Since somebody discovered the dramatic effect of dropping Mentos sweets into a bottle of Coca-Cola, I am sure that primary school teachers around the world have slipped this into their syllabus and sales of Coke have gone through the roof.

The Coke geyser is an apt metaphor for a volcanic eruption. That's my excuse, anyway.
