Early morning sunlight at the An t-Eilean artwork, Inverness Campus. The concrete is gaining some natural patina. Possibly due to the gulls leaving 'deposits' up there.

First morning since early November that the Sun rose before I'd reached work. Brightened my day, as well as the landscape. Spring will soon be on the way... but there was plenty black ice about this morning, and a few wee slides from the bicycle back wheel. Much care still required.

Heard my first Great Spotted Woodpecker 'drumming' this morning, nigh directly overhead, which gave me a bit of a start. The Campus swans were looking very closely bonded, and all of last year's youngsters have now been chased off.
