Reach for the Stars

...and if you manage to grab a box of breakfast cereal along the way then all the better!

It was a cold, grey, sleety and windy day today so we didn't even consider leaving the house. We cranked the heating up, did jigsaws, painted the kids faces on Photoshop, made and painted more plaster cupcakes, re-enacted the Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Aladin stories and chased one another. It was enough to keep the kids occupied and tire me out.

Little D was mostly fine but he started burning up towards the end of the day and fell asleep at the dinner table. We woke him to adminster some medicine then tucked him up in bed. When it came to Miss A's bedtime she refused to sleep unless we were upstairs with her, citing her fear of 'the dark outside' as just cause of her rebellion. I ended up caving in at 9.30pm just so she'd get some sleep before pre-school tomorrow. She rewarded me with endless 'I love you's' and hugs and kisses. This girl knows exactly what she's doing!
