The show must go on

In the southern part of the Netherlands, where carnival is being celebrated, the super bad weather with heavy rainfall and strong gusts of wind caused the majority of the parades to be delayed until half Lent.
The Bonte Storm, as the Maastricht parade is called, continued. There the parade is formed mainly by carnivalists only and only the princes or princesses with their Council of Elf have a float Today they left the car at their hq's.

The one in our village went on, too. I heard the music and waited for half an hour before leaving the house to watch. One of the benefits of living in or next to the centre.
I guess that it was a reduced version, because it was a very short parade, but it was long enough to end up in one of the heavy rain showers and the additional strong gusts of wind.
I comfort myself with the thought that a parade is not a parade without spectators.
