no show for snow....

I suspect many of us have a little kick of excitement when we see the weather forecast predicting snow.

Most of the time , these days, it is for high ground only and certainly higher than the modest 125 feet above sea level where I live.

But last night there was a yellow warning for most of the country which made me peep out from the curtains first thing hoping to see a covering of white.

It wasn't there and although there  was the odd flurry in the morning  it has now been succeeded by drizzle so that  all that can be seen from the desk where I have been working on constituency issues all day (finally clearing the backlog from my time off ill) is this glimpse of a little high up on the hills above Loch Riddon and even that is fast retreating.
