BALI DAY 6

Early start...bags packed ... up to breakfast then onto 2nd destination.
Our driver was waiting for us at 9 and we started our 3 hour journey to the other side of Bali. However he had other plans (“if you like your holiday”)....he took us past miles of rice fields, up to the top of the mountains (1000m above sea level), to the twin lakes and to another waterfall where The Rev wadded through nearly knee deep mud to get a good photo.
#However this was the best place we visited. A very popular tourist attraction which I thought we were going to miss. It’s known as the floating temple. The grounds around it were so beautifully manicured. The benefit of coming out of season was it was practically empty as the criticism had been “the crowds spoil it “ said the tourist :)))
We got to our destination The Mimpi Resort 5 hours later. The additional stops were well worth it.
The new hotel is nice, not as nice as the last one but built in traditional style. We have an outside bathroom....very strange!!!
Then The Rev did a disappearing act...said he was going to investigate the area. I snoozed and when I woke he was still missing....2 hours later he came....furious was an understatement!?!?£!&. He’d gone for a massage!!! Oh how he grovelled in the evening...oh and how I let him !!
