In The Late Afternoon Sun

A day off work for me today so I took Eldest and J for a day out in York. As it was J’s first trip to the city, he got to see all the sights such as our favourite breakfast cafe, York Minster, The Shambles, our favourite lunch stop, a very swollen Ouse river, The City Walls and of course our favourite afternoon tea stop. The view down Stonegate from the first floor tea rooms of Little Betty’s was lovely in the late afternoon sun.

It was a short-lived visit as Eldest and J headed back to Hertfordshire this evening. We will be seeing Eldest again soon though, as he is back home to celebrate his 21st birthday in a few weeks.
