An Impromptu Blipmeet

Kipsie and I decided last minute to take advantage of some bright sunshine and headed to Stover to see the buzzard.
Of course, he didn't show and as it soon was threatening to rain, we gave up and went for coffee instead.

Driving up to the wonderfully named 'Tinpickle and Rum' we noticed that the gritters were out preparing the moorland routes for the expected bad weather.

Halfway through our first cuppa we were suddenly aware of a lot of white stuff coming down. It wasn't settling so we carried on with our catchup.
A bit later it started to really snow so we got going before we got stuck.

A little detour to find the resident ponies on this part of the moor.
As soon as we got out of the car they all thought that we had food for them.
The unofficial horse whisperer is over in extras ;-)

All was fine until the stallion charged in to round up his girls. 
In fear of getting my car redesigned by flying hooves or vicious teeth, we both made a quick exit, back down the hill into rain.
