Abnormal Load

My morning commute is normally remarkably easy. A five minute delay turning onto the A904 is worthy of comment; the M9 is generally deserted compared to pretty much any other motorway... But there is a pinch-point. The Forth Road Bridge. If it is blocked, tailbacks can spread with a speed and ferocity worthy of the south-east of England.

So it was with a sinking heart that I saw the signs warning of an abnormal load on the Bridge. It can't have been too bad, however, as a few moments after this picture the warnings were switched off and we were able to cross as normal.
