Silly CMOS

Comes to something when you have to take the complete bottom off the laptop to replace the CMOS battery.

It’s our very old laptop that I lend out to friends to do slide shows or display photos etc.  It started playing up when booting, and I immediately (after a day or two) thought ‘CMOS Battery’.  Little did I know that I would have to remove all the screws plus the hard drive to get at the battery - they don’t like to make life easy, do they?

If this one had got any lower it would have had negative voltage, in fact its charge was represented by its shape.

How silly, and thanks Admirer for hosting Silly Saturday.
