Life in Sunny Dubai

Soul Sistas #2

Wow. Following on from our very full day yesterday, I was so pleased that we've changed the time for the OaSis meetings. We now start at 10 and there's no breakfast. Just tea, coffee and cake! :)

G & I got there well in time and were set up and ready to go on time. Unfortunately, despite (or because of) the later start, people still arrived late. Oh well.

Some of us had come prepared. We had to share what we had learnt about Esther from researching her over the last few weeks. It was a good interactive session, with a good number of ladies too. We got home feeling quite energised.

Unfortunately, the last week took its toll and I had quite a long nap. No ironing done this evening either. Editing yesterday's picture took some time, and now I just have to complete the journal for it. G had a message to say that UAE schools might close starting 1st March on account of Coronavirus. It suddenly feels like it's on our doorstep with a big move like that! I hope there isn't too much disruption. Saying a trillion dollars has been wiped off the value of companies on the stock market is hard to get your head around.

We forgot to take the customary group picture today, so my blip is of a few of us waiting for the valet to bring the car to us. I loved the reflections of the DWTC building on the one we'd just come out of.
