Watching you watching me

The extra is a closer look at the fox.

The day was dreich again, with some sunny spells in near midday followed by a hailstorm that made me jump on a timely bus up the hill for what is a 10 minute walk.  It was worth it, though.

Our West Norwood Feast kit-cleaning day still happened, but we stayed indoors for the most part so couldn't clean the stalls and tables, which are stored out in a yard. We had seven fabulous Duke of Edinburgh helpers from the local school putting in volunteering hours towards their goal. They had great ideas. We all worked hard readying first-aid boxes, cleaning tablecloths, researching non-plastic merchandise, counting items in one of our lock-ups, packing away the entertainments kit and finding new, accessible spaces to store key items. Phew! I popped out at the end of the cleaning session to buy pizzas for everyone. "Breakfast!" exclaimed one of the older DofE volunteers. It was 2pm. He was delighted with his breakfast pizza.

Fred's off to Inverness again on Monday so we headed for another night out – dinner at Wagamamas (sitting in front of the kitchen where the head chef can chat to you – this is a nice thing and it's our favourite Wagamamas because of it) and a visit to the Dora Maar exhibition at Tate Modern. Her photographs are fascinating, especially the fashion shoots. I liked her watercolours, too.

Here's a link to some of the pictures in the exhibition. The watercolour at the end is the one I liked the most: La Grande Range.
