Romsey Abbey

This afternoon I went to Romsey to see my lovely and not very well ex-business partner and give her a birthday present.  We were supposed to be having girlie pedicures together but the place had got their bookings scrambled so in the end R had a pedicure while I went out to blip.and get a coffee.  In my wandering I walked round the interior of Romsey Abbey.  This shot was taken of the ceiling where the nave and transept cross.  That central square is removable and is therefore where the bells can be hauled up or down.  I did think the painting was extraordinarily beautiful.
