The route to the church went past a field of young lambs, through a farmyard and along a dirt track through fields. Outside the church birds sung in the spring sunshine and celandines shone like flowers of gold. Inside dozens of candles illuminated the church which was devoid of any facilities. Rays of sunlight lit up the yellow and white flowers on the coffin. As the eulogy was given a butterfly flew among the crowd eventually settling high up in the roof. It seemed a very fitting sign for my uncle's farewell.
