Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Paranoia

Today I had a slight attack (brief, fortunately) of paranoia.  It comes from the constant stream of info we’re bombarded with about the new coronavirus.  Book club at my house today..8 of us..4 of them live in retirement homes with lots of old people. The big outbreak in Washington state is 20-30 minutes away..their school district has shut down to “disinfect”.  Americans are warned to forget about vacationing in WA state.  Such notoriety.   NO one here so much as coughed once.   Fingers crossed.  Another one of us also had a uncharacteristic attack when she decided not to get in a bus ( they are being “disinfected”every night) and go to a crowded lecture hall full of students. !

I”m blipping FOOD for a change because it’s a rare event for me to actually cook something for them as usually I just buy everything (like the frozen apple “Blossoms’ we had for dessert, but I didn’t want to go to the one store that has good quiche. Let’s face it.. it’s not that hard.  Doesn’t mean I’ll do it again :-) That's all that was left for H.   Needed lots of vegetables, eggs, and apple for our book..…Louisa May Alcott’s Little Men.  Good talk. What an interesting woman she was.

H went and picked up Fiona and they had a very chatty walk in the Arboretum before coming back and hanging out. here.....making good progress on her book. She’s carrying hand sanitizer in her pocket…Her hands are red from washing them.  The teachers are making the kids nervous,
Enough for one day!   Bed awaits.   (after I watch a bit of the pretty good super tuesday election results!)

Extras,  book club ladies, Fiona.
