Ochils

We were going to an RSGS talk in Dunfermline and as it was a nice day decided to have a walk in the Ochils beforehand. We drove to Dollar and parked in Dollar Glen. We walked down to the Dollar Burn, which is in a narrow gorge as can be seen in the extra, and then up onto King’s Seat Hill and then round above the Burn of Sorrow to Tarmangie Hill and then finally to Whitewisp Hill. There was a surprisingly good snow cover above about 425 metres and it was reasonably consolidated so walking was reasonable with just some post holing. I couldn’t make up my mind on a single blip so made a collage of the views and a close up of the snow. It was almost spring like as the Larks were singing below the snowline.
