The RSPB's emblem

Lovely to find some Avocets this morning. What a difference the sunshine makes. This was one of around a dozen on a local estuary. Hopefully it will be at my local RSPB site this year. We have had nearly 30 breeding pairs in the last few years. They are amazing to watch when they have young as they become quite fearless and will even chase of a Greater Black-backed Gull which are fearsome marauders.
