Beautiful beaches

Sunshine and blue skies this morning as the trampers began gathering at the beach as we waited for low tide to allow us passage across the bay. The first brave souls to go were eagerly watched to see how deep the water still was but they were soon on a long detour so we held off for a while watching the water ebbing its way back from whence it came. It was soon time to brave it and after a while of squelching and squerching our way through the shell strewn bay we were on our way. The trail wound it’s way up and down and around the coastal cliffs with glimpses of jewelled bays filtering through the forest and then dropping down to golden beaches. After passing the point where the water taxis no longer ventured it was a peaceful last few miles to the next campsite. Best one yet with the sea breeze blowing away those pesky sand flies and the sound of the waves in the background.
