trotty pants

no, not a slang term for a dose of diarrhea, but the latest name we are currently using for "trio" our three legged cat.

i had hoped to get a picture of his "cornish pasty" which is what the area now looks like where he had one of his back legs removed. however he got on my lap in this position and i wasnt going to move him. take it from me, just out of shot is a big seam where it was taken off, if he had a back leg on this side at the back, he wouldnt be able to get his head where it is now!

as mentioned in previous posts, he was born with only 3 and 1/2 legs and now he has reached 9 months old, we decided it was time to get him booked in to have the rest of leg No.4 taken off as it was causing him some bother, both as regards balance (which was pretty good anyway) and if he bumped the end, this would cause him some discomfort.

its been a week today since he came back from the vets and he is doing just great. he can now run around and jump about better than ever before, and im happy in the knowledge that he wont hurt himself again doing just that.

its cost me an arm and a leg (no pun intended) but its been worth every penny. it makes me very happy to know that little trio is enjoying a very high quality of life, when most people wouldnt take him on as a kitten. who could fail to fall in love with him, he is just gorgeous!
