Jamming with Jason

This is my son Jason playing the electronic drum machine at an ego free jam hosted by Jason and Elke in their new place in Brooklyn. We visited and saw the place for the first time this afternoon. Cool place. They have a very comfortable apartment upstairs and a large ground level area for events. They hold music jams once a month in this space. Elke cooks up a feast. They get the room ready. There are instruments and guests bring their own.

The crowd that came this evening included a few families with kids and the rest people of all ages. We were the oldest folks there. People arrived around 6:00. We all ate and drank and jabbered for an hour or so. Then we warmed up and began to play. The evening consists of two jams of about two hours each with a cool down period in between. We joined in the first jam. Shelly played a kazoo he made with a comb and waxed paper. We both sang. And I joined Jason on the drum machine. And we both danced together to the beat of the music. It was a blast. We left before the second jam because we had an hour ride on the subway to get home. Turned out easy peasy.
