Behaving like sheep

H and I went for a lovely walk through the woods at Felbrigg this morning, but there was not a photo opportunity in sight. I was hoping to get a photo of some lambs, but it must be too early here. On the way back to the house we passed this herd of sheep, first they all stood with the backsides towards the camera, then they all headed off as one towards this bush.

Evidently sheep do not 'behave like sheep' as we generally think. What they're doing is acting in the interests of their own survival by trying to get to the centre of the herd as that reduces their likelihood of being attacked by a predator.
