How Much is that Doggie in the Window?

He didn’t have a price tag and seemed quite an unlikely place for a dog given that it’s an expensive ladies’ dress shop in Bruntsfield, but it imagine it affords the perfect vantage spot for people and dog watching.

It was another lovely sunny morning as I walked forth over Bruntsfield links to but some loose vegetables for soup at Waitrose no less, before meeting up with two people I met at last year’s Marie Curie counselling sessions. We have formed a bond and meet for coffee once a month to share our progress through the ups and downs of our new solitary lives - talking does help..

It is lovely to see the daffodils and crocuses in the Meadows reach their full potential after the last three weeks of relentless rain and wind. They are such a welcome burst of colour as is this white blossom round a shop doorway. It doesn’t matter a jot that it is artificial.

The soup has been made and the weather has reverted to type, wet and dreich.
