Lympstone

I went over to Lympstone to meet my friend John. He's just back from New Zealand and in about ten days time we'll be flying to Iceland for ten days of photography. Today was really about catching up, checking and comparing notes about equipment, clothing etc. John also had a new lens he wanted to check out. So we had lunch.

Lympstone is a pretty little villlage on the bank of the River Exe. It's probably best known for the sprawling Commando Training Centre Royal Marines which is actually a few miles up the river near Exton.

It's Wide Wednesday and the theme today is "a favourite activity". Being by water, either sea, rivers or lakes with my camera is one of my favourite activities and to be there with a good mate makes it all the better. My blip today is of the houses by the foreshore. We have a boat on the beach, some poles with washing flapping in the breeze and Lympstone's beautiful clock tower. After a good lunch and a pint that seems like a pretty good activity.
