Biddulph Grange Gardens

First thing this morning L and I set off on our journey south crossing the border into England and continuing down the M6.

Our final destination was Chester but we wanted to visit the National Trust garden at Biddulph Grange which was just about an hour from the Holiday Inn Expres where we are staying.

An amazing series of 'garden rooms' .... sadly, we didn't have time to explore everything but after a much needed cuppa and directions from the lady in the ticket office we headed off to find the hidden gem that's the Chinese Garden.

We walked through narrow stone alleys, crossed over stepping stones before finally walking through a rather dark stone passageway leading to the Chinese Pagoda. Sadly the bridge is under repair and we couldn't cross.

An NT property well worth another visit.
