Yoga affected by Covid-19

I had a good Iyengar yoga session tonight after an incredibly busy week.

The yoga centre has produced guidelines about hygiene because of the current virus situation. They’ve had eyelets put in the yoga mats so they can now be hung and aired after use rather than rolled. When a session is back to back with another class then the previous class spray and wipe down the the mat after use. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own yoga mat or use their own yoga towel over the centre’s mats. We are asked to wash our hands before class.

My class is fully booked and usually has 12 participants. Tonight about 7 turned up, of those 3, including myself, brought their own mat for the first time. Very interesting times . . .
