Willow work heron

We bought this heron a couple of years ago, and he's been a nice ornament in the garden.  He's had a few repairs.  But he's starting to look a bit the worse for wear - the wind this winter had uprooted him completely, and broke the stem of at least one of the bulrushes around him.

Today we had a day that was pleasant enough to actually spend some enjoyable time in the garden.  We've done lots of tidying up, including some further repairs to Mr Heron, so hopefully he'll last another summer now.

Perhaps I can learn how to make a replacement, once I've mastered the dragonflies.
