We planned to stop at Little Moreton Hall, a National Trust property, on our way home today .... so glad that we did.

To quote the Pocket Guide
'Whilst modern life rushes by on the busy road outside, Little Moreton Hall survives as a stunning Tudor fantasy , inviting you back to another time and place. Although built over 500 years ago and with crooked walls and uneven floors, it is both extremely fragile and resilient.'

We enjoyed a beautiful savoury cheese tart in Mrs Dale's tearoom before heading off to the M6 en route for Glasgow.
