Crocus

I persuaded Mr Flum to pause on our way home from church, as the annual display of crocus along the Meadows is at its best just now.

Whatever else we say about our council, at some time in the past the landscape department had enough cash to plant thousands of corms and bulbs in public areas, all of which have matured and spread, providing stunning show of blooms every year - and we do appreciate them.

The junior Flums came round this afternoon  (the Flumlet was duly delighted to receive his axolotl), but which might be the last time we see them for some weeks, if we are obliged to self-isolate. Both they and our lovely neighbours have offered to help supply us with anything we need during such a time and, with the stores we have managed to put by, we should cope.
Regrettably, the Heriot-Watt choir practices have been cancelled, and, although the concert is not until May, it seems doubtful that it would go ahead - but it will be worth continuing to learn the music at home for a future occasion, while we are 'confined to barracks'.
