Outdoor sunshine!

At last a beautiful Spring day! Spent an hour pruning in the garden this morning then braved the bus to my friend’s house in Bath this afternoon, which is where I saw this Forsythia, glowing in the sunshine.

I met up with my book group friends to discuss our latest read, ‘The Horseman’ by Tim Pears, “beautiful, hypnotic pastoral novel reminiscent of Thomas Hardy, about an unexpected friendship between two children, set in Devon in 1911.” A book we would all recommend.

Who knows when my book group will next meet. Boris has told us today that from the weekend, the over 70s and people with underlying health conditions have to self-isolate for 12 weeks. Just as well I have a stack of books to read!
