The before

This shot was taken this morning - in the drizzle - before I headed off to work. And tonight it looks nothing like it with the laurels along the back cut down to stumps and the choisya too. A garden plan coming to fruition.

It was also before another day of what has felt like a very long week. My day has been spent covering for absent staff and trying to come to our own decisions before there was a national announcement. It would be fair to say I have very mixed feelings about what has been announced. The ‘after’ feels undefined.
