Lower Binton

Our life of self-isolation is slowly developing a routine.  We have cancelled all our up and coming appointments, including the dentist, and ensure that we get a little air and exercise every day.  Of course better weather would help, it's not exactly sitting out in the garden weather.

So there was more rain today, but only light, so we drove to Lower Binton near Temple Grafton.  There is a church there I wanted to visit. One of the large stained glass windows is a memorial to Robert Falcon Scott, leader of the ill-fated Antarctic expedition of 1912.  Scott was married to Kathleen Bruce who's brother Lloyd Bruce was the Rector of Binton. Kathleen was a sculptor and the cross she made is hanging on the wall by the window.

I've included the information sheet and a close-up of the window in the extras.

In other news: I've been initiated into the video conferencing software known as Zoom.  Ann and I had a nice chat with Emma, and Luna, via the computer after tea.
