Now, as I see it......

Having a quick Butchers

We may be in lockdown; we may have closed the pubs, closed the cafes, closed the theatres, closed the gyms and closed the restaurants.  We can't do any of the things associated with those places, but are we downhearted?  Of course not!  Because we British people enjoy a good queue.  Here was a perfect example of people enjoying a queue outside the butchers in the High Street this morning.  I liked the way it was very orderly and carefully spaced out, and that the person at the front of the queue waited patiently for the customer being served to come out of the butchers before they went in.  I also liked that the lady third from the front spotted me taking this and went into an exaggerated pose; unfortunately, I didn't capture it.

Lots of things going on online to keep people occupied.  One we have picked up on is the musician Joe Stilgoe (the son of Richard Stilgoe for those old enough to remember him on TV back in the 70's) who is performing from his shed for half an hour each weekday at 1pm on his YouTube channel and will be doing a live broadcast this evening at 8pm.  The link is the show he did on Friday and if you listen carefully you'll hear his wife say hello to me and W at 9:50 into the broadcast.
