The Corona Diaries, day #6

Saturday!
Usually on a Saturday, we're running around taking kids to and from circus classes and picking up some shopping in between, then back to clear up the mess after a week's work and school. It's usually gone 2pm by the time we've all eaten and cleared up and well over half the day has done.
But this is our first lockdown Saturday so things were much calmer all round. I was up early because awake early - plenty of time for tea-drinking in peace before the rest of the house woke up. Got a few chores out the way then went out to do a few things in the garden. I'd been looking forward to getting away from the screen and outside all week, especially after the beautiful spring sunshine of the last few days. I was going to get so much done...
But no - it was decidedly nippy out. I weeded a couple of beds but was soon drawn back inside after Gaël lit the fire.
Didn't feel the slightest bit guilty when I curled up in the sofa this afternoon either!
There'll be time to do the rest.

Rounded the day off with some proper comfort food... homemade mushy peas, proper chips... fish courtesy of F**dus, unfortunately, but when this is all over, I'm straight to the fishmonger's!

Hope Saturday's been kind to you.
