Lake Aszyryn

I took a short walk to this small lake today. Nice to get out and breath some fresh air, sunshine and blue sky.

Nobody knows what this lake took its name from. It's probably an ancient Jacwing name. The Jacwings were apparently extraordinarily stubborn and their language died out. The names of places and maybe certain other things have proved more enduring.

There was a Nazi airfield close to here and a Messerschmitt was at some point pulled out of this lake. Some older people still remember these difficult times.

Whilst this lake has no stream flowing into it, there are fish and people swim there in the summer.
