Brief Encounter

On our walk today - which was rather chilly and frosty but lovely and sunny  - we came across this little deer standing on the path. Finlay had sensed it before I saw it - and was on alert. He did behave himself and just stood quietly as I got my camera out to get a few shots. We must have stood for about a minute before the deer turned, walked up the bank on the right and disappeared. Of course, I had trouble dragging Finlay past the spot where the deer had been - as he wanted to savour the aromas!

A lovely start to the day..

The shot is quite a severe crop of a frame shot at 300mm from a quite a distance.

There are reports that every ventilator in London is now in use and there are none to be bought at the moment, so one of two things will now happen :

either - new cases in that area will be just left without one
or - spare ventilator units from the regional authorities will be ‘sucked into’ the capital and we will be left to fend for ourselves…

Thought for the day.

There have been discussions with veterinary sources about the possibility of using their ventilators and staff to treat humans. Daughter is slightly concerned about that - she is really busy anyway. My take on it is that if you are a bloke and need treatment, hang on to your bits - you might come home without them :-))
