Random Orange String

Out nice and early with Finlay - avoiding the crowds.

Spotted this bit of orange twine tied to a fence..yay, exciting stuff I hear you say. The sun was shining through and highlighting it a bit.

Well, it had to happen - an outbreak of gardening has occurred. Nothing too serious I hasten to add, just washing the winter grime off the patio furniture and making a start on cleaning the moss out of the block paving (that will be a job to be done in small stages, there is a lot of it).

We were fortunate to have a very brief visit from our daughter - who came bearing gifts - sweet potatoes, coffee, biscuits...oh and flowers and gin for Mrs madwill.

Food for thought:

The start of the second week of isolation for the madwills begins...shame that so many folk are ignoring advice and thinking it is one long holiday. The death rate in this country is following exactly the same pattern, with almost 1 to 1 correlation, as Italy (which has a similar population) with a two week gap. By 19th March this country had 144 deaths, compared with Italy’s total of 148 on 5th March. By 19th March Italy had 3405 deaths, and they had imposed tougher restrictions than we have at a similar stage. This thing is rising exponentially and the UK can presumably expect a worse outcome than Italy because of the inaction of the government and the pathetic attitude of the ‘great British public’. So, so sad.
