BananaBlahs, Happy Sad, and Zoom

Today started off with the both of us feeling blue, stressed, scared, you name it, but then it got better.  But, before it did, Eric managed to spill Bananagram tiles as I was trying to see how watered down I could make the French Toast. (Decided not to water it down.)
After that, I strapped my trusty beach chair to my back pack with a bungy cord, and walked to the spacious lawn in front of Roosevelt High School where I met Dianne with her own chair. There we sat for a good, long visit - 8' apart. It was very good to see her, and to see that she was alright - you know, comparatively speaking, in this new reality we live in - she was. Her son-in-law just died of esophageal cancer after a long, horrible struggle back in Georgia. Father of a 4 and a 2 year old. Life can be the pits. But then, as we sat there visiting, our missing buddy, Barb, sent this pic (see Extra) of her new grandson just minutes old. Her daughter had a difficult pregnancy with weeks of hospital stay. Little  Robin Joseph is only 4 lbs 8 oz. Happy, Sad - like the old Donovan album. Anyone remember Donovan?
The day ended with another good, long visit via Zoom, with Ann, Glenn, Jo and George, old Push for Change and Solstice Verbiage friends. So good for Ann to have arranged this.
There. All better now. Comparatively speaking.
