Manmade - Returning to Nature

Like a number of sites in this part of Kent, Beacon Wood Country Park is located within a former quarry.  It is a little off the beaten track and has no facilities (other than woodland walks) so makes an ideal spot fro fresh air and exercise, away from the selfish hoards who, despite government advice, seem to be flocking to popular locations in this sunny fine weather.

There are a few reminders of the site's past as a sand quarry, including this side-tipping truck and brick waggons. Just the job for ApolloFly's Mono Monday challenge of Manmade.  Although preserved items, perhaps they just about qualify for Derelict Sunday hosted by Marlieske.

The extra shows a promise of things to come: I found my first Bluebell of the season!
