Fragile Recovery

It's been a while since my last Blipfoto. Work is normally my excuse but this week has been hard.

Pushkins is our 17 year old cat and for us she's a real call to home, a perfect relaxing companion and like most cats a provider of unconditional love.

Early in the week she stopped eating and was obviously in a lot of pain. We spent each day taking her to the vet, comforting her and trying to feed her. Coming to the reality that she's getting old and she's living a fragile life.

But this evening she's showing signs of recovery and we breathe a sigh of relief. This week's been a reminder of the deep bond we form with other species.
