Staying At Home

I'm so fortunate to be able to spend time with my darling dog in the beautiful weather. How lucky are we that she can paddle in our neighbour's lake every morning in perfect solitude?

While I was on the phone to my sister in France this morning I counted nine magpies in the hedge over the road. Got my kiss from Ollie dog. :) I also saw my first brimstone butterfly of 2020.

The comma butterfly that I shot yesterday was on station by the blackthorn hedge proclaiming and defending its territory. Every time the peacock in my pic arrived it would chase it off.
