New Zealand will enter level 4 of the Government's coronavirus alert system at 11.59pm tonight in a bid to control the coronavirus.

The time has come when every Kiwi, except essential workers, will be confined to home. A visit to the supermarket, medical, pharmacy and a local walk are the only options to leave the property.

A state of National Emergency was also declared across NZ today to give the government more powers to keep people at home.

There was an increase of 47 new and 3 probable cases - now a total of 205 confirmed cases. Again, most are a direct link to overseas travel.
Numbers will continue to increase for another ten days and then hopefully the curve will start to flatten and confirmed cases decrease.
