Sound And Vision

Decided to immerse myself in music today and rediscovered one of the best albums ever made for self-isolating. I watched a documentary a couple of weeks ago about Hansa Studios in Berlin, which reminded me of The Berlin Trilogy, and in particular the album "Low" by David Bowie.

Although the album was largely recorded in France, I didn't understand "Low" in the early days. It didn't occur to me that side two was ambient, I just thought it had no lyrics, however, over time I learned to appreciate it was a groundbreaking album and perfect for bunker mentality.

Bowie was in lockdown before it became fashionable.

"Pale blinds drawn all day,
Nothing to do, nothing to say"...
