Socially Isolated Swimmer

He was certainly isolated!  There was a strong cold north east wind on the beach. He had a short swim and then ran to the far end of the beach and back.  The Govt have closed the swimming pools.  But can they close the sea?  I couldn't get to the far end of the beach because the village access gates were closed,  So I had to make do with the small not-closed beach - not big enough for a good walk.

Private beaches in Cornwall are being closed. Yet a quiet beach is one of the best ways to get exercise without infecting anyone or getting infected.  Yesterday in a BBC interview Michael Gove said it was absolutely fine to DRIVE to get to an isolated place where you could exercise.  But today the Devon and Cornwall police chief said NO when asked if people could drive to a place to exercise. In fact his officers have been stopping cars to 'advise' them.  One was seen on the local news pulling a car over, and then crouching down close to the driver's window, which she was lowering, to speak to her.  'WHAT ABOUT THE TWO METRES?' I  shouted at the tv.  So that Police Chief thinks he can MAKE the law rather than follow Govt guidelines.  One of the private beaches which closed today said they were doing it in accordance with Govt guidelines.  I haven't seen any Guidelines which say 'Close beaches'.

On the daily news press conference briefing thing - before it started the BBC News studio had something - drawn in white on red - in the background.  It looked SO like an EYE.  'Under His Eye' I thought.  Praise be!
