Demanding...

We have quite a few blackbirds in the garden at the moment, but this female has taken ownership of the area surrounding the house. She's very bold, and has been known to perch on the back of a garden chair and look in through the kitchen door when the supplies of food are running low! Here she's about to feast on the fatballs, and is one of the few birds that stands a chance against the feisty blackcap!

Watching the birds was one of the better parts of the day. Pete and I went into town to pay ourtax, but there were two consecutive power cuts in the City Centre which caused the bank's computers to fail, so Pete had to go in again later when all power was restored. But at least that job's done know - no more to be paid till the end of July!
